Questions
GC.1 – Summarize and describe the events of January,
2014 relating to the disappearance of the GAStech employees. Focus on the
disappearance of the employees, and the events immediately before and
afterward. The summary should include the following:
a. Who: Individuals and groups involved and their
roles
b. What: A description of what happened over the time
period
c. Where: Associate events with locations
d. When: Specific times of activities, particularly as
it relates to planning and execution
e. Why: A description of the motives or motivations
of the individuals or groups involved
f.
How:
What, if any, notable entities provided support for or facilitated the
events that took place? These could be people, places, or things that helped
those responsible for the disappearance in some way.
Do not
reproduce the overview or MC1 materials concerning background knowledge,
although you may reference this information if needed. Visualizations
illustrating how you determined the summary points above are encouraged. Please
limit your response to no more than five images and 500 words.
In Jan.7, 9, 11, 14, Mink Mies, Loreto Bordrogi, Hennie Osvaldo, they three were on duty on Sptson Park, and the other unknown building besides Taxiarchon Park preparing for the kidnapping from 23:00 (last day) -7:30. Loreto Bordrogi knew that the VIP’s visit very early, so he might open the door and reduce the protection of GAStech in Jan.20.
There are five more places related to the preparation of the kidnapping, the above three, adding Inga Ferro, showing at these places every noon (from Jan.7-Jan.18) in turn. These places were N. Hallanol Dr/ N. Gerantoni St, N. Camino St/ N. Leeno St, N. Maskin St/ N. Agentes St, south of Katerina's Cafe (S. Evripidou Ave/ S. Elftherias St) and N. Acera St/ N. Tackan Ave.
Outsider people attacked the GAStech’s network at Jan.8, and had continuous attacking in the following days. The IT people added the patches for the network. In Jan.13, as an insider of GAStech, Mies Haber Ruscella, sent the email of ‘FW: ARISE - Inspiration for Defenders of Kronos’ to the above mentioned people, and spread the virus on GAStech’s network. Under the attacking from both inside and outside, the GAStech’s network might be intruded, indicating with the abnormal patch status and network logs. Some important files, or the password related to the security in GAStech might be stolen, which is one important preparation step for the event on Jan.20. Also in the email, it seems that Felix Balas leaked the secret of ‘supplies’ to Osvaldo, about what he knew from his colleague talking to the CFO.
Truck drivers had many suspicious behaviors. On Jan.16, four drivers were transmitting large things busily from Airport, port of Abila, Abila Scrap and the Charlyle Chemical Inc. They might transmit the things for Jan.20’s celebration. Toolboxs of the truck drivers were stolen. Albina Hafon and Dylan Scozzese might help on taking the tools. Dante Coginian and Hideki Cocinar, as well as Henk Mies and Anda Ribera might be also involved. Hedge trimmer was also the things they might use for some terrorists’ behavior.
On Jan.19, Mink Mies, Loreto Bordrogi, Hennie Osvaldo were discussing at Brew’ed Been Served Café for the next day’s behavior. On Jan.20, some of them inside GAStech might trigger the false fire alarm and created the massive situation. The kidnapping was done by these internal employees, as well as the catering people, wearing in black. They took the hostages out of GAStech by a helicopter. Bertrand Ovan or Lars Azada might help or be forced to control the helicopter, as they were from air force from Tethys. The high level of GAStech, POK and Kronos Government were gambling for the profit based on the situation, so they postponed to give the news and changed the 14 people missing to 10 missing in the next day. Homeland illumination is an organization who supported POK. They had contact person with POK and help them released the money requirement.
On Jan.23, POK rally started in Abila Park, with a bunch of people advertising for peace and environment protection. However, fire started at a building and AFD went to deal with it. However, one people from GAStech was hit by a van. The other kidnapping happened and the APD successfully arrested the two bad guys after a negotiation>
GC.2 – Describe at a high level the most significant
networks that exist, and how they have influenced each other to produce the
current situation. Please limit your response to no more than three images and
100 words.
The main players are Kronos Government, two factions of POK, two factions of GAStech and Tethys Government behind GAStech led by Sanjorge Jr. Sten. POK is divided into two factions: people who tend to have peaceful activities, led by Marek Sylvia, the other are more forceful and they are led by Isia Vann (Mandor Vann behind). The GAStech is also divided into two fraction, the Tethys-based and Kronos-based group. Kronos Government would like to make use of GAStech to deal with POK, while the POK want money from GAStech. GAStech has some profit conflict with the government due to the tax problem.
GC.3 – Identify three of the most significant
information gaps that remain at the end of the time period covered by the data.
Describe why this missing information would be important to the investigation.

Who is the real leader of POK? If Sylvia Marek is, the fact is conflicted with her peaceful behavior. Should it be the Mandor Vann or Isia Vann behind? Or they become two fractions. Based on the purpose of POK, if we know the real leader in behind, we can reason why the POK comes to so fierce. If Mandor Vann still played an important role, there might be curtained connection with APA, or other organization from Asterian. Thus we might confirm a link between the Asterian-borned Orhan Strum in GAStech.
Why did Isia Vann give up his heritage in POK and joins GASTech, does his action suppose his broken down with POK or his intentionally infiltrate into GASTech to achieve POK targets? Because from the visualization, we know he joined the GAStech at 2007, however at that time Karel was still alive and Isia was still supposed to be a potential leader. If we know this gap, we can inform that why family members of old POK leaders join GASTech. This would also suggest their relationship with current POK.
How many people is kidnapped and who is ‘intentionally’ missing. As we infer that there are someone who is responsible for the kidnapping. Also we can be more sure about the altitude from Kronos government and Tethys government. If we know that, we can also be sure why the police change the number of missing people, and who ‘were’ being missed? So that is a large information gap for exploration of the situation.
GC.4 – The police have sufficient manpower to investigate
up to two different locations simultaneously. Provide your best recommendation
to the police chief as to where the police should be deployed, and why. Provide
visualizations that help describe the importance of this action. Please limit
your response to no more than two images and 100 words.

GAStech people who are also POK members usually went in a suspicious time. These people are mentioned in GC.1. And In Jan.23, there are some incident happened in that region. We first see the van from that region of place.

It is not by accident that the van guy stopped there. He might be performing some tasks. This is mentioned in roger_roger's microblog. He said there might be more hostages there.
